The first exposure that I had to Barcelonian producer John Talabot was his "My Old School" 12" that was released on Permanent Vacation in 2009. The standout track then was "Afrika", an understated builder that uses elements of flamenco guitar, tribal vocals, and a strong kick drum to create a completely infectious groove.
Over the past couple of years Talabot has been releasing a steady stream of tracks that range from disco burners to new wave tinged pop.
Talabot is set to release his first full length, fin via Permanent Vacation. Here are previews of a couple tracks from the album off Talabot's Soundcloud page:

Bonny's, Here We Come!
All of us at Glue are jacked to announce that the party has landed at Bonny's in Logan Square, Chicago. We checked out a few different locations but decided on Bonny's because we love it's edge, soul, and the fact that we can get down until 4AM. Glue will have it's Bonny's debut on March 8th with a very special guest set from our friend Bridget Marie. We're also working on putting together some great drink specials and Glue schwag. It's not a night to miss! See you on the floor.
